Welcome to Come Let Us Reason

Statement of Philosophy

Behavior management techniques must be presented in a clear and consistent format. It is my belief that clients who are students need to be taught appropriate behavior. We live in a society where rules govern our lives from day to day. It is when these rules, spoken or unspoken are broken that they will have a positive or negative affect on us. It is my responsible as a counselor to assist a client in transitioning into an acceptable model of life.

In addition, it is important to teach my clients life skills, such as patience, caring, or responsibility, in order to help them make appropriate choices toward an acceptable model of life. Upon making these items clear to the client, they are made aware of their choices in life and the effect of them. In essence the client becomes directly involved in the management of their behavior, thus promoting a positive and healthy environment.

Monitoring and facilitating a client’s behavior and learning experiences are an extremely important aspect of counseling. In order to be an effective counselor, I feel it is necessary to implement a form of psychodynamic theory and use specific behavioral models in solution focus counseling that provides clear guidelines for the clients to move toward a more meaningful, responsible life filled with positive decision making skills.

The client and I will create a safe sharing and learning environment. My main goal is to demonstrate how to respect authority and others. This includes teaching clients and assisting them to transition toward being responsible and respectful in professional and personal relationships.
